Monetta Edwards is the Director of the Winston Center. In this role, she is responsible for the Center’s strategic initiatives and partnerships, including the programmatic schedule, communications, and public relations, and broadening the Center’s reach on Boston College’s campus. She also serves as the advisor for the Center'sÌýJenks Leadership ProgramÌýand theÌýWinston Ambassador Program.

Monetta is an adjunct lecturer for Essential Business Communication and Leading for Social Impact.

Before joining the Winston Center in 2014, Monetta was at the university’s Center for Centers, where she provided event planning expertise and support through her role as Manager, Programs & Events to the Institute for Liberal Arts, the Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy, the Center for Human Rights and International Justice, and other designated centers and institutes.

Monetta holds a BS in Business Administration from SUNY Fredonia, an MS in Hospitality and Service Leadership from Rochester Institute of Technology, and an MS in Leadership and Administration from Boston College. Monetta has held the Certified Meeting Professional designation since 2006 and has over 20 years of corporate event planning experience.Ìý

Monetta enjoys traveling; going to the theater and concerts; is passionate about social justice issues, including gender & racial equity and inclusion in leadership; and supporting the Special Olympics and ALS research.

Genesis Ruiz is from Queens, New York, where she graduated a year early from high school. She is a sophomore studying management with a concentration in finance at the Carroll School of Management and a double major in political science. Genesis has interned with Russell Reynolds Associates as part of their Admin team and has prior experience volunteering with her Ecuadorian community. In her free time, Genesis enjoys listening to true crime, cooking, and writing music inspired by her cultural background. Genesis is excited to be a part of the Winston Center of Leadership Ethics as an undergraduate assistant and help build a strong community and leadership initiatives.

Eric was born in Seoul, Korea, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a 2021 Boston College graduate with a degree in psychology, with a concentration in clinical psychology. In addition to his coursework, Eric participated in the Catalyst Program from the Carroll School of Management in 2019, where he fostered a meaningful foundation in areas of management. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the Lynch School of Education of Human Development at Boston College. Eric enjoys finding vintage clothing, exploring new places, and watching films till 4 in the morning. He is excited to be a part of the Winston Center of Leadership and Ethics as a graduate research assistant and to further understand the bounds of leadership and community.
