Jonathan Prunty is a doctoral candidate at Trinity College Dublin's School of Law. His research focuses on the influence of victim engagement on cybercrime law and policy in the Republic of Ireland. Additionally, he is involved in the PRECYLI project at the School of Law, a research initiative co-funded by the TCD Provost’s PhD Project Awards and the Society of Legal Scholars. This project evaluates the efficacy of legal measures in preventing and deterring cybercrime in Ireland.Jonathan holds an LL.M. from Trinity College Dublin, where his interest in the intersection of victims’ rights and broader policy considerations emerged. With prior experience at a prominent commercial law firm in Dublin with strong ties to the tech industry, his exploration of cybercrime victims represents a natural evolution of his academic and professional pursuits.
