Candace Hetzner

Biography

Candace Hetzner has teaching and research interests in political philosophy, especially in ancient Greece and in public sector ethics. She has also conducted research and written articles on British politics, including a book The Unfinished Business of Thatcherism (2009) as well as numerous articles on British (and American) public administration. 


Prior to being a faculty member in Political Science Department at Boston College,  she was for over two decades the associate dean for academic affairs in the Morrissey College Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.  She has previously been on the faculties of Fordham University, Lesley University, the University of Massachusetts Boston, and Rutgers University.


She has been a fellow of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, N.I.M.H., Ford Foundation, Earhart Foundation, and a Visiting Scholar at the Minda de Gunzberg Center  for European Studies at Harvard University.
