Boston College CompanionsÌýis a yearlong immersive program that combines academic study at Boston College with elements of Ignatian spirituality. Each year, the program invites a select cohort of accomplished professionals to reflect together, explore new directions, and consider life's next chapter amid ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½'s distinctive culture of inquiry, excellence, and service to the greater good.

Program Highlights

Each year, a cohort of 15–20 Fellows will be selected to spend a full year immersed in campus life at Boston College.Ìý

Fellows take six courses from offerings in law, business, the humanities, science, education, social work, and theology and ministry, among other disciplines—providing an invigorating academic experience that will be key to a purposeful future.Ìý

Jesuits and ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ faculty will serve as advisors, helping Fellows select courses and pursue their goals.Ìý

The program offers guided conversations, retreats, and Masses. Throughout the year, participants of all faiths and spiritual backgrounds have the option to work with a spiritual director.

Fellows participate in an Ignatian pilgrimage to Spain and Rome to learn about St. Ignatius and the distinctive Jesuit heritage. Upon returning, Fellows have the option to participate in a five-day silent retreat.Ìý
