Including persons with autism in faith communities is a critical component of faith formation. This workshop defines autism and offers guidance and practical strategies for those who encounter children or adults with autism.  Emphasis is given to welcoming and inclusive practices, and how families can support their child’s faith formation through the sacramental grace of daily routines.
Sponsored by the School of Theology and Ministry and generously supported by the Pyne Endowment Trust in memory of Professor Margaret E. Pyne, a lifelong advocate for persons with disabilities.
