Quick Links
- Returning students: You will receive a registration day and time prior to registration. You may register for courses at any point between that time and the end of thedrop/add period.
- First year students take a prescribed course-load, and registration is automatic for all courses other than the spring semester elective.
Use the link above to access Ҵý’s online course registration system, EagleApps. The system is also available in the Agora portal under “My Services.” Make a list of courses you intend to take, then use the tutorial link to learn the system and complete registration. For help understanding course requirements and offerings, see theCourse Selection page.
Make sure to prepare second- and third-choice options in case of scheduling conflicts.
Students may have a hold placed on their account due to missing immunizations or an unsettled student balance. Any holds on a student’s record will block course registration for that student. The student should contact the appropriate department to resolve the hold before proceeding.
Some courses offer additional credits, usually to account for the writing of a substantial analytical paper. To take a course with the higher credit option, complete the following steps:
- Register for the course.
- Email the course instructor requesting to take their class with a higher credit option.
- Complete theRegistration Changeform and upload a copy of the course instructor’s reply indicating their approval.Submit the form.
- Student & Academic Services will review and process your request.
You may drop classes after the drop/add period, provided your course load does not drop below the credit minimum (outlinedbelow). However, this may result in the receipt of a “W” (withdrawn) on your transcript. You may only add a class after drop/add with permission from both the professor and the Dean for Academic Affairs.
Upper-level law students may elect to take up to 7 credits, in no more than two classes, as Pass/Fail in lieu of a letter grade. To register for the Pass/Fail option, students must determine that the course is eligible (see list on theCourse Selection page) and elect that option in EagleApps prior to the pass/fail deadline. Note that courses that are automatically pass/fail, such as some experiential learning courses, do not count against your sevin credit/two course maximum. A course being used to fulfill the ABA upper-level writing requirement may not be taken on a pass/fail basis.
Students may audit a class with the permission of the professor. Note that the audited course will be included on your transcript. The process to audit a course is as follows:
- Email the course instructor requesting their permission to audit the course.
- Complete theRegistration Changeformand upload a copy of the course instructor’s reply indicating their approval. Submit the form.
- Student & Academic Services will review and process your request.
