Resources & Facilities

A number of excellent art history resources are available for our students. The collections at Boston College’s McMullen Museum of Art and the John J. Burns Library are frequently used in research and teaching. Many of our students take part in the McMullen Museum of Art’s Student Ambassadors internship program. Boston College students are granted free access to the Museum of Fine Arts, Institute of Contemporary Art, Harvard Art Museums, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and other cultural institutions within the Boston area. Students and faculty also have access to a digital image collection of 19,000 high-quality images collected by ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ faculty of the past few decades, which are available through the JSTOR Forum database accessible through ARTstor in our libraries.
