As a young theologian, Joseph Ratzinger played an important role in advising the German bishops during the Second Vatican Council.  Father Imbelli examines Pope Benedict’s theological and pastoral vision, maintaining that the Pope’s aim is to promote a deeper and more comprehensive reception of the Council.
